another HPL preview

Well, after having installed today WinterMute’s GP2x toolchain and snaff’s SDL libraries for GP2x (thanks guys!) I’ve succesfully created a HPL template for GP2x-linux-SDL in 5 minutes! :-D , and here you have the result! HPL for GP2x is a reality now! :-) Thanks to EvilDragon for taking such a cool photograph! :-)

awaiting for my GP2X hardware

Hello there!

There are no fresh news from a while, and I’m still waiting for my GP2X hardware. I got bored yesterday and started updating my HPL sources, and well you know I’m fast… here you have a WIP screenshot, in this case InfoNES HPL-ized! Yes, we got two binaries (exe/w32 and fxe/gp32) from a single source code, with no modifications =)

Pretty cute, isnt it? More screenshots soon… stay tuned.

Some other news

I finally got a Nintendo DS on past Friday. My new toy seems fun to code. I hope to port her (*yum*) some of my emulators.

Back to the GP32, I have to delay the f-day a couple of months due to some personal circumstances. As a gift meanwhile, let me unveil the mystery… yes, all my emulators will be updated on f-day, and I will release *all* of them, as some of you had guessed right :-)

Here you have three screens showing the new common interface (for fGB32 in this case):

More even, all ports have been ported from scratch, and quality is higher than ever. Now featuring triple buffering, auto frameskip, frame limiter, 32M/64M RAM support, 16bit stereo sound, chatboard, etc etc for all my emus, plus releasing them as open source (yes you heard it right :-) . Bah, you won’t be disappointed at all !

Please be patient, ‘cos upgrading 13 emulators and my HyperPortable Library is taking me over ;-)

That’s all for now, stay tuned…

Back from holidays… (sigh!)

Sigh!

Well, I’m just back from holidays and it seems things are not going ok since 25th December.

First of all the server migration went someway wrong and missed some news (new fZX32 readme, new fMAME32 screenshots, me announcing my holidays, etc). Now server is fixed but the news are gone completely (no backups :-)

Second thing is that some people are claiming the fZX32 sources, as releasing the binary without sources violates the GPL license. Right, my fault. I just wanted to clean the sources, and release them as HPL modified but it seems is mandatory to do it at the same moment you release the binaries. I’m sorry.

As result, I will release the sources in a few hours (gonna travel some few hundred kilometers to grab my GP32 and bring back the dirty sources). Hope that fixes everything else, to those implied persons, specially Philip Kendall who detailed me the GPL license at that point.

The fZX32 HPL sources (sources using the Hypercompatible llibrary) will have to wait since the HPL library itself is not finished at this moment.

Take care.
